John R. Blalock took over as editor of "The Western Baptist" news paper from his father R. Y. Blalock in 1948, after returning from China and being held prisoner during world war II, and continued to publish it by-monthly until he left for Japan as a missionary in 1953. When home on furlough from Japan and an auto accident prevented him from returning, he began a new paper "Landmarks of Baptist Faith". I do not know of a complete file of these papers anywhere. I have found some of them around the house. It is from the papers I have found that I have posted this BLOG to the Internet.
