Baptists are not protestants in the sense other denominations are. The denominations which came out of the Catholic Church are protestants. The People known today as Baptists are older than Roman Catholics.

A powerful, positive, and attractive Biblical view of God, man and government is displacing and destroying the isolation, ignorance and indifference many Christians have had concerning their nation and its Gospel purpose. American Christian History Institute was established to re-educate the American Christian in his responsibility to be governed by principles of the Scriptures in all areas of life, including the civil sphere, and to restore the understanding and practice of local self-government. This educational program embraces all Christians in America.

Since its beginning, men have been preserving the history and works of the church via ink and quill. As the Industrial Revolution surrounded us, we began using ink and machines called presses. Later still, we use pixels and computers. No matter the mechanism, a trail has been left through history, a heritage, for the next generation to follow.
Baptist Ink has made its mission to preserve and make available that trail. Taking works that have been reprinted from authors such as Cathcart and Bunyan to new works from today's authors, Baptist Ink provides a central location for those interested in the history and doctrines of Baptists to acquire the heritage handed down to them from the quill of the previous generations.

Baptist have a heritage that could only be sustained through God's very own hand. Through out New Testament history there has always been a group that held to "Baptistic" beliefs. They might have had other names, but their views have always been similar. Baptist have always stood for God. Baptist have never protested, therefore, we are not Protestants. Our heritage is rich with the men and women who would not bend the knee to mortal man, but to God alone!

Some good devotional reading, second to the Bible itself, comes from the writings of John Charles Ryle. His writings are devotional without sacrificing sound theology. Ryle's method and style of writing is scriptural and expository.

Old Faith Baptist Church is a "strict and particular" Baptist. This simply defined means that we believe in the "Doctrine of Sovereign Grace" and hold to the perpetuity of the Lord's church. We define the church as a local assembly of baptized Saints gathered together for the worship of God and the edification of the body. In our worship we sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. We preach the Word of God expositionally and teach line by line and word by word in its historical, prophetical and practical sense. We are not "dispensational" in our interpretation of the Bible, but rather hold to the simple divisions of the Old Covenant and the New Covenant giving the distinctions within the Bible that Christ gives, that is, the Law and the Prophets with the Psalms. We meet in a home at this time so come and be refreshed in the spirit of Christ by the Word of God.

The Reformation began on October 31, 1517, when German monk Saint Martin Luther nailed his 95 Theses to the Castle Church door in Wittenberg, Germany. This was one of the greatest events of the past 1,000 years.
